Correctional Association of New York - The Correctional Association of New York advocates for a more humane and effective criminal justice system and a more just and equitable society. The CA has been putting 'people before prisons' since its inception in 1846.
 

Human Rights Watch - Human Rights Watch is an NYC-based NGO that promotes human rights and justice and defends the rights of people worldwide. HRW achieves change by partnering with local organizations, lobbying the press, making recommendations to governments, and other actions to put pressure human rights abusers.
 

Innocence Project - The Innocence Project works to exonerate the wrongfully convicted and reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustices. The Innocence Project evaluates over 6,000 cases every year and works on nearly 300 active cases at any given time.
 

New York Civil Liberties UnionThe New York City Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) defends the civil liberties in New York state, promoting equality and the right to due process for all New Yorkers. The NYCLU maintains that "all New Yorkers have inalienable rights that cannot be taken away by the government or by majority vote."
 

Open Society Foundations Open Society Foundations (OSF) works to build vibrant societies with thriving and accountable democracies. OSF was founded by George Soros. -- OSF seeks to advance positive outcomes in health, education, and human rights.
 

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Fund - The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works in over 170 countries helping to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities and exclusion. UNDP helps countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.
