Spring Events in NYC: Easter Events in Manhattan

Spring is finally here, which means it’s time to enjoy some outdoor activities all around Manhattan. With Easter weekend just around the corner, we’ve put together some of the best events taking place in the city.

 

Frozen Easter Egg Hunt

When: Friday, April 14 - Sunday, April 16, 2017, 10am - 8pm

Where: Minus5 Ice Bar, 1335 Ave of the Americas

For a new take on a traditional Easter egg hunt, check out Minus5’s frozen version. Kids get a “mocktail” when they enter, and can then search for eggs in the ice bar. Parents are welcome to try drinks and hunt along! Once kids find all the of the eggs, they can enjoy a treat basket.

 

New York State of Mind’s Easter Extravaganza 2017

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 12pm - 3pm

Where: Target East Harlem Community Garden (417 E 117th Street)

This Easter Extravaganza is filled with kid-friendly activities. With Easter egg hunts every 15 minutes, Easter egg painting, and an arts and crafts table, your children will definitely not get bored. Don’t forget to snap a picture with the Easter Bunny!

 

Children’s Museum of Manhattan Annual Museum-Wide Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 10am - 6:45pm

Sunday, April 16 - Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 10am - 4:45pm

Where:  The Tisch Building, 212 West 83rd Street

All ages are welcome to hunt for hidden Easter eggs at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Be sure to snag a booklet from the Visitor Services Booth to mark down where all the Easter eggs are hiding. Afterward, head over to the lobby and collect a prize.

 

Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival

When: Sunday, April 16, 2017, Starts at 10am

Where: Parade starts at 49th Street and marches up Fifth Avenue to 57th Street

Ready to see some over-the-top bonnets? Then head over to the Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival to see some outlandish headpieces marching up Fifth Avenue. If you have your own bonnet, then jump in and march, otherwise, just enjoy the view!

 

The Amazing Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt

When: Sunday, April 16, 2016, 1:30pm - 5:30pm

Where: Slattery’s Midtown Pub (8 East 36th Street)

Are you good at scavenger hunts? Then grab a group of friends or get assigned a team, because the Amazing Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt will send you all around the city to find hidden eggs that are worth prizes. You’ll need a smartphone and comfortable shoes, and the winning team gets a New York City gift package.

 

New York City Easter Jazzy Brunch Cruise

When: Sunday, April 16th, 2017, Boarding at 12pm

Where: Pier 40

Enjoy live music, wonderful food and drinks, and plenty of views in this two-hour cruise on Easter Sunday. Enjoy this relaxing boat ride and take part in the Easter egg hunt right on board. The cruise sails rain or shine!
