NYXT is Coming to Brooklyn!

We have some big news – NYXT is coming to Brooklyn!

We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with BRIC, the leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn, to distribute our television channel on Spectrum, RCN, and Verizon Fios throughout Brooklyn starting on April 1.

This partnership with BRIC marks the first time that NYXT.NYC has been seen on television outside of Manahttan, and the beginning of our mission to bring the channel to a wider audience.  NYXT.NYC will now reach 800,000 homes in NYC, giving more people access to great community organizations and more ways to make a difference.

In addition to the channel now airing in Brooklyn, NYXT.NYC has begun showing content from Brooklyn-based organizations (including BRIC itself) and is partnering with BRIC to start showing content from various organizations in the borough.

Check out videos by some of our newest partners in Brooklyn:

Eyebeam is a Bushwick-based platform for artists to engage society’s relationship with technology.

The Womanity Project is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit multimedia platform producing media content and workshops to shed a light on cultural and gender stereotypes.

NYXT can now be seen in Manhattan on Spectrum channel 1992 and Fios channel 38, and in Brooklyn on Spectrum channel 1997, Fios channel 45, and RCN channel 85.
