We Demand Equal Rights Now

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Martin Luther King Jr

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is coming soon, a holiday marking the birthday of a great man who believed in equality for all people and that the way to achieve it was through nonviolent action. King believed that if you observed injustice or a person or group of people being treated unfairly, it was always the right time to take action and do the right thing. There are many ways to do this peacefully and help bring about a more just world by working together.

Educating yourself and creating space for dialogue is a good way to start, so we created a video block of content named Be The Change, that will air until this Sunday at 10 AM, 3 PM and 9 PM, featuring people working to change the world and make it a better place, collaborating with organizations like Amnesty International, Children’s Aid, Innocence Project, Open Society Foundations, Prospect Park Alliance, United Nations, Vital Voices, and many others. Lets commemorate Martin Luther King Jr., the leader who challenged the racial caste system through action, radical imagination, and peace.
