AIGA NY, the non-for-profit and professional association for design, “elevates designers and the role of design” through education, advocacy, and building a community that discusses the future of their craft.

 

 

In 2016, after the presidential election, AIGA NY created Citizen Designer Now!, a space to think and have a dialogue about the role that design plays in society and the transformations that can be achieved through this profession. They distribute a free guide featuring “Tactics For Using Design in Civic Engagement”  and they announce in their statement:

NYXT visited with them during one of their events at the Museum of Arts and Design, that was moderated by designer and AIGA NY board member Jessie McGuire.
