Where to NYXT: Planned Parenthood Direct

Spring is here, hopefully to stay.  But a more important thing that New Yorkers hope will last is Planned Parenthood Direct, an app by Planned Parenthood that will be launched in New York this Thursday in Brooklyn. Say what?! Keep on reading to learn more!

What is PPDirect?

PPDirect is a mobile app to access to quality health care: You can use it to request birth control pills, request prescriptions for UTI (urinary tract infection) treatment to pick up at a local pharmacy, and to make health center appointments.

How can I get the app?

You can download it from the App Store® or on Google Play®.

Can I use it everywhere?

The app is currently live in Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Washington State; to receive care through the app, you must be physically present in these states.

How can I participate and engage with Planned Parenthood?

You can join Planned Parenthood of Greater New York to launch PPDirect this Thursday 21st at 7PM in 376 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, where Telehealth Advance Practice Clinician Isabel Gregg and Elyse Hi, sex educator and creator of SX NOIR, will talk about this new service for New Yorkers.

This event is part of a six-month pop-up collaboration with the independent clothing line Meg, in Downtown Brooklyn. Click here to find all the activities.
